Counselling for Anxiety
Anxiety can be one of the more distressing moods we can experience. Anxiety is very common. Some people can feel anxious in a particular situation, while others feel anxious most of the day.
Prolonged anxiety can lead to panic attacks, although there can be days where everything is normal. Being aware of the type of situation that makes you anxious is important. The causes of anxiety can seem a mystery, especially when unexpected; as you learn more about your anxiety you will probably be able to identify what triggers it.
Anxiety can sometimes be described as the temporary nervousness or fear we experience before and during challenging life experiences. Persistent types of anxiety are phobias, social anxiety, panic disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, health worries and generalized anxiety disorder.
